What We Do

Located in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, the Academy of Animal Arts is a licensed school dedicated to the teaching and advancement of individuals concerned with the care and maintenance of animals. 

Animals have been loyal companions for thousands of years.  The devotion to pets and concern for their care and their grooming has created a market for many career opportunities within this expanding industry.  As more animal lovers discover the joys of pet ownership, the need for pet services increases.  Recent surveys show that the dog and cat population in the United States now exceeds 140 ½ million, and sales in 2002 have reached over 18 billion dollars.

Staffed with a nationally acclaimed Certified Master Groomer and other outstanding dedicated professionals, the Academy is able to educate the student in all phases of animal care.  Daily hands-on experience is reinforced through classroom instruction and guest lectures.

The Academy maintains standards that afford the student the opportunity to function at the highest level of achievement.  Many of our graduates have become Certified Groomers in the Professional Pet Groomers Certification, Inc.  program.
